dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out in the countryside of Aleppo Governorate, following the method of sampling by chance at the level of each region and according to the cultivated crop. The methodology of the study was based on the methods of descriptive and quantitative analysis in the process of the study. The study showed that the area affected by fires in 2019 in Aleppo governorate for the wheat crop amounted to about 236.3 hectares and for the barley crop about 1935.5 hectares. The amount of lost production of wheat amounted to about 450.388 tons and the barley crop is about 2369.052 tons. And that this loss was for farmers and does not have much impact on national production because it is not a public disaster, and the state did not bear any economic burden because it considered it to be arson. Also, the total area of forest trees affected by fires in 2020 amounted to about 3100 hectares, and the number of burnt forest trees were 180 pine trees, 127 palm trees, 10 eucalyptus trees, 5 azedarach trees, 165 Casuarina trees, 99 bird's tongue bushes and 118 oleander bushes. The total area affected by the fires of agricultural lands at the level of Aleppo districts for the 2020 season amounted to about 544.5 hectares for wheat, 594 hectares for barley, 3 hectares for lentils, 6.6 hectares for beans, 10 hectares for coriander, 198.1 hectares for olives, 1.7 hectares for Vine and 6 hectares for Nigella. And that this loss was for farmers and does not affect national production much because it is not a public disaster, and the state did not bear any economic burden because it considered it to be arson, while the other economic consequences are the loss of timber and the death of trees with a loss of 2000000 SP the remaining wood is of low value in terms of quality. Residents of the region are deprived of additional income as much as 500,000 SP. In addition to the costs and material losses from the restoration and displacement of 4,000,000 SP, and simply put, forest fires are a national loss for all compatriots that 2.52% of the Fire Brigade died, 0.84% of the affected sample died, 37.8% suffered from unemployment, and 25.2% of the population had to be displaced to the neighboring countries, as for the health impact, 20% of the population of the affected sample suffered from suffocation and respiratory diseases.
