dc.description.abstract | This study sought to develop a model to assess the performance of the principals of public secondary schools in Palestine. To achieve the goals of this study, a tool was used. a questionnaire which sought to develop the performance evaluation system. The study sample which was chosen by a random stratified method consisted of) 112) respondents categorized according to job title as follows:(16( directors of education directorates,(16( heads of educational sections, )16( heads of supervision sections and(64) public secondary schools principals. Following are the most important results: • The performance evaluation model should be based on the standards derived and approved by the respondents, and the needful to have quantitative measurements and qualitative measurements which describe their performance, in addition of the feedback report. • Developing an integrated, comprehensive, clear, and accurate performance evaluation model of the public secondary schools' principals in Palestine, as the conciliators totally said. Depending on the results of the study, the researcher recommends that: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education should apply the developed performance evaluation model to a representative sample of principals to test its reliability and validity. | en_US |
