Abstract: The study aimed to identify the prevalent thinking patterns in light of Sternberg's theory among high school students in Jericho Governorate and to identify the significant differences in thinking ways according to the variables: social gender, school type, and high school branch. To achieve the objectives of the study, the study followed the descriptive analytical approach. It used the Sternberg model scale for thinking patterns, which consists of (65) items distributed over thirteen thinking patterns, after verifying its validity and reliability. The study was conducted on a sample of (130) male and female students selected according to a simple random sampling. The study reached results, the most important of which was that the most prevalent thinking patterns among high school students in Jericho governorate are the liberal style 74.84%, followed by the hierarchical style 72.64%, while the least common style was the conservative style 56.92%. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the style (executive, local, liberal, hierarchical, minority, external) due to the gender variable in favor of females, the results also showed statistically significant differences due to the variable of the high school branch in the style (executive, global) and in favor of the Entrepreneurship and Business branch, and in the style (royal, chaotic) and in favor of the literary branch; While the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the school type variable. In the light of the results of the study, the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is that the school curricula include topics that enhance thinking styles and their uses in students' life situations.
