Abstract: The study aimed to identify the reality of the prevailing leadership styles in government secondary schools in Nablus governorate from the point of view of teachers, and to identify the role of the study variables (gender, years of service, and educational qualification) in the reality of the prevailing leadership styles of government secondary school principals from the teachers’ viewpoint in the governorate. Nablus.In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach in its analytical form, and the questionnaire as a tool for the study. The study population may consist of all the teachers of Nablus governorate schools, whose number is (3458), a stratified random sample was chosen on the gender variable consisting of (300) male and female teachers, The results showed that the arithmetic means and standard deviations of the reality of the prevailing leadership styles in government secondary schools in Nablus governorate from the point of view of teachers were high, and the average of the respondents’ responses on the first domain was high, and the second and third domains were medium, and they are in order: the permissive style (3.78), followed by the autocratic style (3.37), followed by the democratic pattern (3.26),The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≥0.05) between the average responses of teachers in public secondary schools in Nablus Governorate to the reality of the prevailing leadership styles due to the gender variable in the domain of the democratic style, the autocratic style and the total score, while the table indicates that there are significant differences Statistically significant in the field of permissive style, and the differences came in favor of males, and there were no differences in the variables of years of experience and educational qualification. The study recommended the need to pay attention to the practice of democratic leadership by the principals of public secondary schools in the city of Nablus.
